Chocolate Cake with Oreo Cookies & Chocolates


  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 12 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Milk chocolates
  • 1/2 cup Dark chocolate with nuts


  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan, and set aside.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

  3. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  5. Stir in the hot water until the batter is smooth.

  6. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.

  8. Sprinkle the semisweet, milk, and white chocolate chips on top of the batter.

  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

  10. Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

  11. Once the cake is completely cool, place the Oreo cookies on top of the cake, pressing them gently into the frosting.

  12. Melt the remaining chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until melted and smooth.

  13. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the Oreo cookies and cake.

  14. Let the chocolate set for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
