Oreo Brownies

  • 1 package of Oreos
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Crush the Oreos into small pieces, either by placing them in a plastic bag and crushing them with a rolling pin, or by pulsing them in a food processor. Reserve about 1/2 cup of the crushed Oreos for topping the brownies.
  3. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Once melted, add the sugar, cocoa powder, and salt, and whisk until smooth. Remove the pan from the heat.
  4. Add the eggs to the pan, one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
  5. Add the flour to the pan and whisk until just combined. Stir in the remaining crushed Oreos.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth it out with a spatula. Sprinkle the reserved crushed Oreos on top of the batter.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
  8. Let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

These Oreo brownies are rich, chewy, and full of chocolatey goodness. Enjoy!
